Weekend Flyer is a weekend trip finder that starts with the thing you want to go to. Pick a vibe and a budget. We find the show, the game or the festival, then a flight that gets you there before it starts and a hotel near the venue, and add it up with real prices.
How Weekend Flyer makes money
We earn a commission from some partners when you book through our links. It never changes the price you pay. Partners don’t pay us to rank higher: trips are ordered by how much of your vibe is on that weekend and by price, or however you choose to sort them.
Searching is free, and we don’t sell ads or your information.
Where the information comes from
- Events come from Ticketmaster’s event listings: names, dates, venues and, when they’re listed, ticket prices.
- Flights and hotels are priced through LiteAPI by Nuitée, including taxes and the fees a hotel charges on top of the room.
- Weather is the U.S. National Weather Service forecast. Further out than the forecast goes, we show the typical weather for those dates from NOAA’s 1991–2020 climate normals and mark it “typ.”
What the price includes
Every price is per person: a round-trip flight and two nights in a hotel, with the taxes and the fees a hotel charges on top of the room. When the ticket seller lists a price, we add the ticket too and call it all-in. Many events don’t list one until you pick seats, and we don’t guess: those trips say “+ ticket” and link you to the ticket site to see it. Prices move through the week, and the price at the partner’s checkout is the one that counts.
Where we go
We price trips from the 20 biggest US travel markets, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Denver, the Bay Area, Seattle, Boston, Washington, Miami and Houston, to 24 cities across the US over the next eight weekends. Nearby airports share their market’s prices (Newark and LaGuardia use JFK, for example), and more home airports are on the way.
